Our Commitment To Safety
Here at Youth Anchoring Youth, we firmly believe the well-being of our tutors and tutee are our highest priority. We have made a commitment to safety, including 01 -Trusted Tutors and older mentors. Our tutors will go through an interview prior to holding their own sessions, which will ensure they have the necessary qualifications. 02 - Same Tutoring Environments. With any in-person session, we will first gather approval and consent from a parent or guardian on location, duration, and activity. 03 - Online Safety. Our online sessions have secure login protocols, and require further approval from parents / guardians in order to be recorded.
How We Screen Tutors
Tutors will be required to send what they feel is necessary, however if our team feel like it isn't sufficient, further information will be asked. This could include grades and teacher comments to show academic and classroom performance. Progress between tutees and tutors will be tracked to confirm it is running smoothly. A brief introduction will be delivered to tutors we accept.
Safe In-Person Sessions
We will ensure that location is kept confidential. Guidelines will be established for tutors to follow and further rules can be made between tutees and tutors. If anything were to be breached, contact us on our homepage.
Zoom details will be kept confidential so others can't join unless a group session is requested. Tutees give media consent if sessions are recorded. Same goes with consent for photos uploaded on our social media or website.
Safe Online Sessions
It is up to the parents/guardians whether they want to sit in and listen. Questions can be asked to the Youth Anchoring Youth team or to the tutor if wanted. Feel free to quiz your child after sessions to test their knowledge.
